		<description>Last nights VIJUG meeting sported 16 people making their way out to the tech park learning more about Groovy, Griffon and Swing. I tweeted a bit during the meeting so here are my live impressiones recaptured:

All things for the vijug meeting about #griffon are go.
Wow. #griffon has a lot of cool builders.
Watching great on the fly coding with swingpad. Well done @kellyrob99
#griffon needs debian package support...
Love the simplicity of dealing with the edt and threads in #griffon
Resting after a great VIJUG meeting about #griffon and a geek out over beers at the pub..

Rafael had the following feedback:

@abstratt Great overview of Griffon by @kellyrob99 at #vijug. Thanks, Kaptain! Left wishing #griffon &amp; #grails were just facets of the same framework

And of course our great presenter Kelly sweated it out as well

@kellyrob99
Survived presenting at #vijug meeting tonite. Griffon+Swingpad made it simple to demo w/ live coding. Will post slide+democode soon :)
@mosabua thanks for the opportunity to present at #vijug tonite Manfred. I had a lot of fun and hope everyone enjoyed it
New blog post: VIJUG Griffon/Groovy Presentation &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.kellyrob99.com/blog/2009/08/27/vijug-griffongroovy-presentation/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;VIJUG Griffon/Groovy Presentation &#124; The Kaptain on ... stuff&lt;/a&gt;
@abstratt tyvm for the kind regards. It was a lot of fun presenting tonite - once I stopped feeling nauseous that is #vijug #griffon #grails

The presentation was very interesting and included a specially prepared demo application that is now available on github(see Kelly&#039;s post on his blog). A bunch of us seemed to be missing the GORM piece from Grails in Griffon, but apart from that we all walked away thoroughly impressed (at least that is what I thought).

Thanks to our sponsors everybody walked away with a raffle prize as well. Kelly got the well deserved JavaRebel and IntelliJ licenses (you can get them too if you present..) Our draw winner were Paul @pljenkins for IntelliJ and Aidan @thefunkyhermit for JavaRebel.

All in all I hope everybody had a good time and we will see more faces next time.</description>
