Our November meeting was another great success with a very educational presentation by Ian. I think all of the 12 attending members have a solid understanding of the reasons for OSGI and a module system in Java. The audience had plenty of questions during the presentation and afterwards even though we did not talk about the Java 7 modularisation system Jigsaw. That was reserved for the beer chat afterwards.

After the presentation we raffled off IntelliJ to Lucas and JRebel to Graham. Andrew took the testing book away for review and keeps and the T-shirts found their takers as well. We also all got a DZone OSGI refcard.

At the KnockanBack with beers and food we had a good discussion about iphone/android, osgi and jigsaw and more.

Later some feedback appeared on twitter as well:

Rafael
@irbull heard the presentation went pretty well, with good turnout. Was going to attend, but had to help a friend with a dead car battery

Ian

@abstratt Thanks! yep, I thought the presentation went well. The dec. meeting might be at the bar. I'd like to hear about the modeling day
