This month we are lucky enough to have Matthew McCullough in town ready to present about git and GitHub to us. Matthew is an extraordinary speaker and trainer and you should NOT miss this opportunity.
If you want to become a git pro you can still register for the full day workshop on the 29th, but otherwise even the free meeting will teach you lots about git as a version control system and GitHub as a fantastic platform for using it. I am logged in to G+. Possibly it doesn’t like my Google Apps account.
Can anyone else (other than you Manfred
) see the event or is it just me?

Can you find the GDG Victoria BC site? And navigate to the event?

I just tried with my non-Apps G+ account and it still didn’t work, so it’s not that.

Wish I could edit my comments, I keep making too many!
That’s not exactly the right url still but it seemed to work anyway for some reason. THIS seems to be the ‘canonical correct link’: https://plus.google.com/events/ciuv4ml86p69m9b6nb51cg9elnk/112826376355061333205
