MUni & MTB Weekend

On Saturday the MUnicycle article from Manu was printed in the Salzburger Nachrichten featuring some statements from me and a photos of Moose and one of me – the article is of course online for you :)
New: Manu’s article was again printed in the Berchtesgadener Anzeiger

After reading the article it was time to switch to two wheels – Mountainbiking in the Bikeworld Leogang was our aim on sunday. Sadly I crashed on the 2nd run and got a bruise on the shoulder (Prellung der Schulter) – so I made some photos from Anschi and Pat at the Northshore structures …

Nordpark Singletrail

What a week: after a few days in St.Anton/Arlberg (paddling the Rosanna & biking to the Putzenalm) at the Filmfest, Babsi and I moved on to the Engadin, where we paddled the Giarsun and rode our bikes to the Alpe Clunaz and in the Ardez area.

Finally we arrived in Innsbruck, where we descended the Nordpark Singletrail. The steepest biketrails I ever saw – no way for me to ride them, only to crash them down … so after the ride it was time for the spa in Seefeld to relax my destroyed body ….

First Slopestyle contest in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Saturday was the day Babsi and I witnessed MountainbikeFreeriding for the first time in real (and not just in Kranked & NewWorldDisorder ..)

After a nice MTB-Tour we watched for 3-4hours how the guys dropped 9m, flew 15m, went for a cool wallride or did some crazy dirtjumping like backloops, 360°ties, suicides, X-Ups, Supermans and so on …
Ah, and btw – the winner of the contest was Cedric Garcia, 2nd Timo Pritzl …

Relaxing & biking in Kiris/Turkey

Easter weekend normally means paddling for us – but this year Babsi and I decided to go to Turkey for a mountainbike adventure. With perfect weather (25-30°C and blue sky), the Taurus mountain range (which rises up to 3500m) and the comfort of the hotel we had all ingredients for a perfect trip …

If you want to know more then you can read the article – if you are lazy then you can have a look at the pix or if you want to go to turkey then you can download a pdf with all the bike tours (in german language).

Board’n’Wheels

Hope you like the pictures …

MTB: Hundstein

1300m altitude – half on a paved road and half on a gravel road. Endless blueberries and raspberries and a long funtrail back to the car … that’s the ingredients of the Hundstein Tour.

Starting point is at the firebrigade in Thumersbach/Pinzgau/Salzburg. You just follow the road to the Hundstein (marked with MTB.Signs). After you reached the peak, don’t forget to order one (or two) of the yummie Kaspressknödl (cheese dumplings). With this new power you are ready for the downhill. It’s simple you came from the path from top.left and when you take the path to the top.right of the picture it leads you directly to the trail …
